The Luxury Group’s portfolio, which includes brands like The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, W Hotels, The Luxury Collection, EDITION, JW Marriott, and Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, currently spans 73 countries with over 529 properties. Three new hotels are expected to open by the end of 2024, and over 260 luxury hotels and resorts are in the global development pipeline, including over 30 properties slated to open in 2025.
Luxury travel trends are changing, with the focus shifting towards unparalleled experiences, deep social connections, and transformative adventures. This shift is driven by the emerging affluence, particularly Millennials and Gen Z. As a result, the luxury all-inclusive model is evolving to cater to a demand for unique experiential offerings and trips that foster personal and cultural enrichment.
In response to this shift, The Luxury Group plans to debut several brands within the safari lodge sector in Africa in the coming year. Luxury brands are also increasingly partnering with high-end brands to offer immersive, culturally rich journeys that blend adventure with introspection.
EDITION Hotels, a brand within The Luxury Group, plans to continue expanding its collection of unique hotels, including a new property in Italy’s Lake Como region, in 2025. Similarly, JW Marriott aims to debut new properties in various global destinations, continuing its mission to inspire mindful moments in exceptional locations.
The Luxury Collection plans to open new hotels in Italy, Greece, Poland, and Spain in 2025, while The Ritz-Carlton looks forward to opening a new property in Puerto Rico following a transformative renovation. St. Regis Hotels & Resorts plans to open new beachfront luxury properties in Aruba and the Dominican Republic. W Hotels has key openings and transformations slated for 2025, including the anticipated opening of an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana.
