Marriott International has announced plans to accelerate the expansion of its branded residential portfolio in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. The company has 70 projects in the pipeline, including 43 signed projects and 27 open properties.
Over the past two years, Marriott has signed 26 agreements to bring branded residences to various EMEA locations, more than double the number signed in the preceding two years. These locations range from luxury resorts, such as The St. Regis Residences in Casares, Costa del Sol, to prime urban locations like the W Residences at Dubai Harbour.
Marriott’s expansion in the EMEA region responds to the growing global demand for branded residences and luxury experiences. The company’s Chief Development Officer for Global Mixed-Use Development, Dana Jacobsohn, praised the company’s efforts in bringing these residential projects to life.
Marriott Branded Residences allow developers to utilize the company’s strong brand recognition and lead generation platforms. This could result in higher sales velocity and increased sales value for developers. Residence owners can also benefit from Marriott’s recently announced owner recognition platform, ONVIA.
Marriott is partnering with top industry developers across EMEA to ensure continued success. The company’s recent projects include The St. Regis Residences in Casares, Costa del Sol, The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Dubai, Creekside, and several properties in the Algarve, Portugal in collaboration with Highgate.
Other notable projects include The St. Regis Residences, Financial Center Road, Dubai, and the W Residences Manchester, which reported high sales velocity.
Marriott anticipates opening several highly awaited projects across the EMEA region by the end of 2024. These include Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence in Saudi Arabia, The Residences at the St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort in Oman, The Residences at the St. Regis Belgrade in Southeast Europe, and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Baku in Azerbaijan.
