Meliá Hotels International has announced the opening of the Hotel Cusco La Paccha Affiliated by Meliá, set for January 1, 2026.

Meliá Hotels International is set to expand its footprint in Peru with the opening of the Hotel Cusco La Paccha Affiliated by Meliá. The hotel, located in Cusco, is scheduled to open on January 1, 2026. This marks the company’s first establishment in the historic city, known as the ancient capital of the Inca Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The hotel is situated near the Plaza de Armas, approximately 10 minutes away, and is adjacent to the ornamental fountain La Paccha de Pumaq Chupan, a notable tourist attraction. The location is surrounded by colonial churches, markets, and museums, including the Qoricancha Museum, which is five minutes away. The San Pedro train station, providing access to Machu Picchu, is also nearby.

The property, formerly known as Xima Exclusive Cusco, features 167 rooms, a restaurant, bar, spa, and event space. The design incorporates elements of traditional Cusco architecture, with a central courtyard that provides natural light and serves as a communal area. Native plants are used in the courtyard to enhance the atmosphere.

This development is part of Meliá’s strategy to increase its presence in the Latin American market. The company currently operates Meliá Lima and INNSiDE Lima Miraflores in Peru’s capital. Another project, Casa de la Pila, a member of the Meliá Collection, is also planned for Lima.

The new hotel in Cusco completes Meliá’s presence along a key tourist route in Peru, connecting Lima and Cusco. This strategic location aims to offer travelers a comprehensive experience that combines Lima’s urban environment with Cusco’s historical and cultural sites.

Meliá’s expansion in Latin America and the Caribbean includes ten new projects in 2025.
