Meliá Hotels International will incorporate the Holiday World Resort complex in Benalmádena into its portfolio, adding 864 rooms under the Affiliated by Meliá brand starting next March.
Meliá Hotels International is set to expand its presence on the Costa del Sol by incorporating the Holiday World Resort complex in Benalmádena into its portfolio. The complex, which includes three hotels and a collection of apartments, will operate under the Affiliated by Meliá brand beginning in March.
The Holiday World Resort, owned by Grupo Peñarroya, consists of three four-star hotels—Holiday World Polynesia, Holiday World Riwo, and Holiday World Village—and the Casamaïa premium apartments, totaling 864 rooms. The complex is known for its family-oriented, all-inclusive vacation offerings.
The resort features a Beach Club spanning 29,000 square meters, including nine pools, eleven jacuzzis, a wave pool, slides, and themed water areas. It also offers a variety of dining options and sports facilities, including a 3,600-square-meter center with tennis, paddle, and basketball courts, a football pitch, and functional training areas. For the 2026 season, four pickleball courts will be added.
Each hotel within the complex offers distinct features. Holiday World Polynesia has 328 rooms and features an outdoor pool, a bowling alley, mini golf, and six restaurants and bars. Holiday World Riwo, with 148 rooms, focuses on family-oriented leisure spaces and features three restaurants and a gym. Holiday World Village, with 360 rooms, offers a range of entertainment options and six dining venues.
The Casamaïa apartments provide 28 units, including suites and penthouses, and feature a spa, gym, and pools. The complex will officially join Meliá Hotels International in March and will operate as Affiliated by Meliá Holiday World.
This addition will increase Meliá’s presence in the province of Málaga to 22 hotels, further consolidating its position in the region.
