Mews has announced the acquisition of Flexkeeping, a hotel operations platform specializing in housekeeping automation. This acquisition aims to integrate Flexkeeping’s tools into Mews’ existing hospitality management system, providing a unified platform for hotel operations.
Flexkeeping, established in 2012, offers automation and scheduling tools for hotel housekeeping teams. Its features include automated room assignments, cleaning plans, shift scheduling, and inspections. The platform also provides real-time task management and communication, allowing staff to receive instant updates on room status, maintenance, and guest needs. This integration is expected to enhance operational efficiency and staff collaboration by connecting housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk teams through shared checklists and centralized task tracking.
The acquisition will enable Mews to offer a comprehensive suite of tools that includes property management, revenue optimization, payments, and point-of-sale functions, alongside housekeeping automation. This move is designed to enhance staff productivity, lower operational costs, and enhance guest experiences.
Flexkeeping’s technology has been implemented in numerous properties globally, reportedly increasing productivity by 40% and reducing guest complaints by 45%. The system supports multiple languages, allowing tasks to be created in a user’s native language and automatically translated for the appropriate department.
The acquisition was managed by Mews Ventures, the investment arm of Mews. This strategic move is part of Mews’s effort to enhance its position in the hospitality technology sector by simplifying hotel management processes for its clients.
