Michael Bolton is spreading joy this holiday season, which also marks a year since he first revealed his brain tumor diagnosis, with a rare family photo he shared online.
Bolton, now 71, shares three daughters—Isa, Holly and Taryn—with his ex-wife, Maureen McGuire. He is also a grandfather of six.
On Wednesday, the “To Love Somebody” crooner shared a festive photo featuring some of his loved ones as they posed on a couch in coordinated holiday pajama sets before a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and several unopened presents.

“Sending warm wishes for a holiday season filled with peace, love, and joy,” he began in the caption accompanying the Christmas Day Facebook post.
“May the New Year bring health, happiness, and countless moments to cherish,” he continued, concluding with one last hoorah, “Here’s to fresh starts and beautiful moments in 2025!”
The comments soon filled up with loving messages from followers wishing the Bolton family a merry Christmas and good health in the new year.
“Merry Christmas and a bright New Year to you and your family!” one cheered.
“Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s may the new year be filled with abundant blessings!” a second hoped.
“Sending love and festive cheer to you and your family this Christmas morning!” a third declared. “You look wonderful!”
“Merry Christmas Michael!” another top-liked comment exclaimed. “Continued prayers and much love!”
It was around this time last year that Bolton’s health took an unexpected turn and he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In January 2024, the Grammy winner revealed he underwent emergency surgery shortly after receiving the diagnosis.
Then, in August, fans received another scare when it was reported that there was a police presence surrounding the home of the “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” singer. He eventually released a statement online saying he was OK and the visit was unrelated to health or security but rather due to a “big landscaping project.”
But months later, Bolton’s health was back in the spotlight as he was forced to cancel a series of shows in October, telling fans at the time that he is “just not quite 100% yet” and is still on the “road to recovery.”
“It is challenging and often times frustrating because I just want to be out there performing for you but I need a little more time to build back my full strength and stamina,” he wrote on Facebook. “My progress is good and I have been able to get a little work done on a couple exciting projects that you’ll be hearing about very soon.”
Granted no other unforeseen issues pop up between now and next summer, the rocker is set to take the stage on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the O2 in London, per his website.
