What led to the arrest of Marcus Jordan?

What we know:

According to an official arrest affidavit, Maitland Police Department officers were driving eastbound on Greenwood Road, near Mechanic Street, around 1:14 a.m. on Feb. 4, when they saw a car with its headlights on, facing southbound on the railroad tracks.

Through investigation, officers discovered the car had just fled from a traffic stop initiated by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers stated they detected the smell of alcohol coming from the car, and the person in the driver’s seat, who was identified as Jordan, was slurring his words and had bloodshot eyes.

Jordan said he had taken a wrong turn and needed help getting his car off the tracks, reports show.

Police said Jordan refused to exit the car until officers ordered him and a passenger out.

Jordan told police he was coming from a few venues in the Winter Park and Casselberry area, most recently a Rachel’s Gentleman’s Club, officials said.

After a series of sobriety tests, officers said they arrested Jordan for DUI.

Police stated Jordan would not comply with being walked to the patrol car and refused to get in.

Records show officers also searched Jordan and found cocaine in his pants pocket.

Tuesday afternoon, Jones bonded out of jail.
