Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Chengdu Resort – Image Credit Minor Hotels
Minor Hotels has signed a deal with Sichuan Dexinhousheng Enterprise Management Co., Ltd to develop the Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Chengdu Resort. This is Anantara Hotels & Resorts’ first project in Sichuan province and is expected to open in October 2025.
The luxury resort in Dayi County will consist of 111 rooms and will be an hour’s drive from Chengdu city. It is situated within the National 5A Tourist Attraction-designated area, a prestigious rating given by China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The resort will offer guests access to skiing at Xiling Snow Mountain, relaxation at Huashuiwan Hot Springs, and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
The resort’s design, led by Cheng Chung Design (CCD), will highlight the area’s natural beauty. Guest rooms and suites will range from 100 to 500 square meters and have access to piped hot spring water. The resort will also feature a swimming pool, an Anantara Spa, a wellness center, and an entertainment center.
The resort will offer various dining options, including a Chinese restaurant with private dining rooms, an all-day dining venue, and a specialty restaurant. There will also be 800 square meters of banquet and event meeting space.
Eddy Tiftik, Vice President of Operations and Development for Greater China at Minor Hotels, expressed excitement over the collaboration and the potential for sustainable tourism in the region. Similarly, Zhou Jinguang, Chairman of Sichuan Dexinhousheng Enterprise Management Co., Ltd, expressed optimism about the resort’s positive impact on the high-end tourism market in Sichuan.
This new resort will be the third Anantara resort in China, following the Anantara Guiyang Resort, launched in 2017 and the Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort, launched in 2013.
