Minor Hotels has commenced construction on a 200-room Avani hotel in Singapore’s Tanjong Pagar district, scheduled to open in 2027.

Minor Hotels has initiated the construction of its first Avani-branded hotel in Singapore. The 200-room hotel is being developed in partnership with Kajima Development and Al Wathba Investment. The property is located at 24 Peck Seah Street in the Tanjong Pagar district and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2027.

The new hotel will be a 14-storey building, strategically positioned in the historical district of Tanjong Pagar. This area is known for its proximity to key locations such as the Downtown Core and Marina Bay. The hotel will be less than 200 meters from the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and approximately 350 meters from Maxwell MRT Station, facilitating easy access for both local and international visitors.

The development aims to integrate the heritage of Singapore’s historic shophouse precinct with Avani’s contemporary design. Planned facilities include a pool deck, AvaniFit gym, and various dining options. Additionally, the project will feature a pedestrian link between Peck Seah and Tras Street, enhancing connectivity within the area.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by several executives from the partnering companies, including representatives from Minor Hotels, Kajima Development, and Al Wathba Investment. The event marked the official start of the construction phase for the hotel, which is part of Minor Hotels’ strategy to expand Avani’s presence in major global cities.
