Miranda Lambert proved she’s a real country icon with her bold fashion decisions at the People’s Choice Country Awards in Nashville on Thursday night.

Before accepting the second-ever Country Icon award following the late Toby Keith, who earned the accolade at the first People’s Choice Country Awards last year, the 40-year-old arrived at the Grand Ole Opry House in an all-black sequin gown with a plunging neckline.

Lambert–who is also nominated in two categories, Female Artist of 2024 and Female Song of 2024 for “Wranglers”–then changed into another moody look, walking across the stage to accept the big honor in a leather mini dress.

Many fans were cheering for the country singer during the Sept. 26 ceremony, celebrating both her accolades and the head-turning looks she rocked throughout the night.

“country icon indeed,” one fan gushed via X (formerly Twitter), adding a photo of Lambert on the red carpet before the show began. Similarly, another declared in all caps: “COUNTRY ICON.”

“Beautiful,” another simply wrote.

While Lambert’s voice and style regularly gain attention from fans, the country star has also earned a rep for putting on quite the live show. Though she has had some not-so-fun moments on tour (like when she had to break up a fight in the crowd), Lambert has been praised for other instances where she interacted with fans, such as when she helped concertgoers with their baby’s gender reveal.

The Grammy winner has also been very busy this year as she released long-awaited new music. Her newest album, Postcards From Texas, came out on Sept. 13, with the singer teasing fans by putting out singles like “Wranglers” and “Alimony” in the months leading up to the release.
