Motorcyclist killed, another seriously injured after crash in Cloverdale: Surrey RCMP – BC

A 49-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash and a second rider is hospitalized with serious injuries.

The Surrey RCMP said the incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Thursday as both motorcycles were traveling east on the Fraser Highway near 182nd Street.

Horsemen say two riders lost control and crashed into the median.

“Alcohol and speed have not been ruled out as contributing factors to this clash. The investigation is still at a very early stage,” the Surrey RCMP said in a statement.

The Mounties told Global News that highways around 182nd Street in Cloverdale will be closed for several hours pending an investigation.
