Swiss hospitality brand Mövenpick has announced the imminent opening of its first hotels in Poland, the Mövenpick Grand Hotel Wrocław and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karpacz. Both hotels are set to open later this month, marking the brand’s expansion in Europe, following recent openings in Belgium and Azerbaijan. Mövenpick also plans to debut in Italy, Greece, and Montenegro later this year.
Mövenpick, established in 1948, initially made its mark in the Swiss restaurant scene and later evolved into an international hotel brand. Today, it operates over 120 hotels globally, with a focus on inventive culinary excellence.
Philippe Bijaoui, Chief Development Officer Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Accor Europe and North Africa, emphasized that the expansion of Mövenpick reflects the brand’s resonance with guests and partners. It also aligns with Accor’s strategy to accelerate its portfolio of premium brands, thereby enhancing guest experiences regionally and globally.
The Mövenpick Grand Hotel Wrocław, located in Poland’s third-largest city, offers 180 upscale guest rooms and amenities in a fully renovated historic building. The hotel restaurant and bar serve contemporary Polish cuisine, and the wellness area is open to guests. The hotel also provides versatile spaces for corporate events and private gatherings.
The Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karpacz, situated amidst lush forests in southwest Poland, is a tranquil mountain retreat. The 126-room resort provides easy access to a nearby ski station and hiking trails. Other amenities include heated outdoor pools, a wellness area with a spacious spa, and eight treatment rooms.
In addition to the Polish openings, Mövenpick has recently established properties in Azerbaijan and Belgium and plans additional debuts in Italy, Greece, Montenegro, and Croatia in 2025.
