The story is not over yet

Fans of My Hero Academia barely had time to dry their tears after the emotional finale of the anime earlier this month. During Jump Festa 2026, the big annual manga and anime convention sponsored by Shueisha, a brand new special episode titled “More” was announced. As the My Hero Academia series finale didn’t completely cover Kōhei Horikoshi’s 42nd manga volume, this additional episode will adapt a bonus chapter, set eight years after Deku and his friends graduate from U.A. High School. “More” will be available to stream on May 2, 2026, on Crunchyroll.

My Hero Academia was the first franchise to step on the Jump Super Stage on Dec. 20. Part of the show was dedicated to celebrating the 10-year legacy of the series, which started in 2014 with the first chapter of Kōhei Horikoshi’s manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump. The anime began in 2015 and became immensely popular, garnering fans worldwide.

Then, the presenters also unveiled a new, touching promotional video for the final season, titled “The Story of How We All Became the Greatest Heroes.”

Aside from the additional “More” episode and final season tribute, a worldwide concert tour was also announced as a part of My Hero Academia’s 10th anniversary celebration, which will commence in 2026. This Jump Festa panel also marked the reveal of a new teaser visual and logo for the anniversary. More anniversary-related news and events to come as the new year goes on.

Fans of My Hero Academia couldn’t get a better present this Christmas. Just after they thought they had to say farewell to Deku and the other (now former) students of Class 1A, they get another opportunity to see their favorite heroes in action.
