Nautic Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, is set to acquire Davidson Hospitality Group from an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners. The deal involves a partnership with Davidson management.

Davidson Hospitality Group, a top-ranking hospitality management company, has an annual revenue of over $2 billion. It specializes in lifestyle full-service, luxury, upscale full-service, and resort properties and is recognized for its financial performance and excellent guest experiences.

Thom Geshay, CEO and President of Davidson Hospitality Group, voiced confidence in the new partnership with Nautic Partners. He stated that Nautic’s support for the long-term growth of its portfolio companies aligns with its strategic vision. This partnership is expected to enhance hospitality experiences and create new expansion opportunities.

Nautic Partners has a history of partnering with executive talent in specific sub-sectors within the Healthcare, Industrials, and Services industries. The investment in Davidson Hospitality Group marks their strategic entry into the hospitality sector. This decision is based on their faith in Davidson’s operating model and growth potential and reinforces Nautic’s previous experience in third-party property management, facilities management, and corporate lodging services.

Mark Perlberg, a managing director at Nautic Partners, expressed confidence in supporting Davidson’s management team in reaching its long-term strategic objectives. He appreciated the strength of Davidson’s focused operating model and showed enthusiasm for the partnership.

John Ege, a Partner at KSL Capital Partners, praised Davidson’s growth and success under their ownership. He conveyed assurance in Nautic’s ability to guide Davidson’s next growth phase and mentioned that Davidson would continue to manage several KSL’s existing assets.

Moelis & Company LLC will serve as Davidson Hospitality Group’s financial advisor, with Davis Graham and Stubbs LLP as legal counsel. Nautic Partners will receive legal counsel from Locke Lord LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
