It might be common knowledge that he’s a star on the court, but L.A. Clippers pointguard James Harden just proved that he’s also an All-Star at picking out restaurants for dinner in Toronto.
While the Clippers-Raptors game held at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday night may not have ended in his favour; with a 115-108 loss to Toronto’s jurassic jocks on top of the home fans booing while the Star-Spangled Banner was sung, James Harden still came out a winner, swinging by a local classic for a great meal.
Ahead of the game, Harden — widely considered to be one of the best basketball players of his era — along with teammate Bones Hyland stopped by the Entertainment District’s Pai for a feast of Northern Thai cuisine from renowned Toronto chef Nuit Regular.
Much like Harden, Pai is something of an allstar in its own right, boasting a reputation for being one of the greatest star-magnets in the city on top of serving some of the best Thai food in Toronto.
“He was incredibly warm and kind to our team,” co-owner Jeff Regular tells blogTO.
“Obviously, being a huge basketball fan, I’m always super excited when he visits PAI, but it is always amazing and we are so grateful when anybody appreciates our food and the experience we bring.”
As for what the pro baller ate during his most recent visit to the restaurant, Jeff tells blogTO that “he’s a big fan of [their] Thai Chicken Wings and Khao Soi.”
This isn’t James’ first rodeo at the Entertainment District Thai restaurant. He first visited back in 2019 when he, then a member of the Houston Rockets, played against the Raptors.
Pai is located at 18 Duncan Street.
