Netflix in the United States is set to acquire another major licensed show imminently. Blindspot, which has now been off the air for five years, will now be coming to the streamer in the US for a limited time beginning in early June 2025.

Running for 100 episodes across five seasons on NBC, the action police procedural series was created by Martin Gero and featured the talents of Sullivan Stapleton, Jaime Alexander, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, and Ashley Johnson, among others. The plot follows a tattooed woman who is found in New York City with those tattoos, like Michael Scofield from Prison Break, holding secrets that unlock secrets to crimes.

As we noted several years ago when covering Blindspot’s availability on Netflix in 2021, the series was exclusive to Hulu during its runtime, despite many NBC scripted shows like The Blacklist and The Good Place arriving on Netflix throughout the 2010s. This series is distributed by Warner Bros. Television, however, so it was not part of any other deals. The show has been mostly unavailable on streaming in the United States in recent years, with it departing Hulu back in June 2023 and not having a streaming home since then.

Netflix has carried Blindspot in international territories in recent years, but as of the time of publication, it is no longer available. Netflix Australia acquired it for a 16-month period, ending in December 2022. Netflix Canada saw the series removed most recently on June 15, 2023.

Netflix is set to begin streaming all five seasons of Blindspot in the United States starting on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Netflix will stream the series for an unspecified period, likely ranging from 1 to 5 years.

2025 has been slower when it comes to licensed titles, at least in the US. There are several reasons for this, including Netflix’s increased reliance on licensed titles in recent years to compensate for scheduling gaps caused by strikes and the pandemic. That said, we don’t expect the licensing taps to be turned off like during the height of the streaming wars.
