Aspen Hospitality, a division of Aspen One, has introduced Nell Hotels, a new luxury hotel brand. The launch includes The Nell New York, set to open in fall 2027 as the first and only hotel within Rockefeller Center and the only Relais & Châteaux property in New York City. The project represents an investment of more than $350 million.

The Nell New York will be located at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, occupying the former office space above Rockefeller Center. The 134-room hotel will feature a seventh-floor arrival area, an all-day dining venue, a lobby bar, a wine lounge, and a spa. A fine dining restaurant is planned for the 17th floor, offering views of Rockefeller Center.

The hotel’s design will be influenced by the Art Deco style and architectural features of Rockefeller Center. The property will include an art collection with works from New York-based and international artists. The Nell New York will provide guests with access to a range of cultural and dining experiences within Rockefeller Center.

Nell Hotels will comprise three properties: The Little Nell in Aspen, The Residences at The Little Nell, and The Nell New York. The Little Nell is Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond ski-in/ski-out hotel. The Residences at The Little Nell are private residences in Aspen.

The Little Nell in Aspen will temporarily close in April 2027 for a comprehensive renovation and is expected to reopen for the 2027-2028 ski season. The renovation will include updates to guest rooms, public spaces, and dining outlets.

Nell Hotels plans to expand to additional locations in the future. The Nell New York will join Relais & Châteaux, becoming the only property in New York City associated with this collection of independently operated hotels and restaurants.
