Peninsula Papagayo has announced plans for a second oceanfront neighborhood of Andaz Residences near Andaz Peninsula Papagayo, with construction expected to begin in mid-2026 and completion anticipated in 2028.
Peninsula Papagayo has announced plans for a new collection of Andaz Residences, marking the second oceanfront residential neighborhood near the Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica. The development follows the debut of the initial phase of Andaz Residences in 2023. The upcoming neighborhood will feature 35 residences in two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2026, with completion anticipated in 2028.
The new enclave is being developed by Mohari Hospitality and Gencom, with design by Predock. The residences will offer expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces, private plunge pools, and most homes will include private rooftop terraces with views of Culebra Bay. Each residence will be serviced and managed by Andaz Peninsula Papagayo.
Amenities for residents will include an exclusive owner’s clubhouse with ocean-view terraces, a resort-style pool, fitness and wellness areas, co-working lounges, and an upper-level retreat serving light fare and refreshments. Residents will have the option to participate in a rental program and club membership, providing access to the members-only Clubhouse at Prieta Beach, the Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, and Papagayo Park, a sports and wellness hub that opened earlier this month.
Early commitments from existing owners have been secured ahead of the public release. The residences are priced from under $4 million.
The announcement follows recent enhancements at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort, including updated guestrooms and suites, a new Beauty Bar at Onda Spa and Wellness, expanded movement and martial arts programming at the Dojo, an enhanced live music schedule at Chao Pescao, and the opening of Gaio, a trattoria-style restaurant. Work is also underway on an expansion of Casa de Playa, which will introduce a new family pool area, expanded sunbed capacity, all-weather dining, an oceanfront bar, upgraded cabana service, and additional recreation amenities.
The new Andaz neighborhood coincides with the appointment of Markus Laahanen as General Manager of the resort. The new residences are located in a standalone oceanfront neighborhood, offering privacy and proximity to the resort and Peninsula Papagayo amenities.
