The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced its plans to open a new Ginger hotel in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. This will be the seventh of its kind in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This move aligns with IHCL’s strategy to expand its footprint in emerging micro markets.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President- Real Estate and Development at IHCL, expressed her delight at partnering with RNP Warehousing and Logistics Pvt. Ltd. on this project. Bhiwandi, a flourishing commercial area, has seen considerable growth in the warehousing and logistics sector, making it an ideal location for the hospitality company’s new venture.

The 151-room Ginger Bhiwandi will be loacted along the Mumbai-Nashik Highway. It will feature an all-day diner, Qmin, and a range of other facilities, such as a state-of-the-art fitness center, a swimming pool, and versatile event spaces, including a banquet hall and meeting rooms.

Mr. Vishal Patil, Director at RNP Warehousing and Logistics Pvt. Ltd., expressed his excitement about the collaboration with IHCL. He believes that the new hotel will be a vibrant addition to the region’s expanding business landscape.

Bhiwandi is an important part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Due to its proximity to the Nhava Sheva port, it has become one of Asia’s largest warehousing and logistics hubs.

With the inclusion of the Ginger Bhiwandi, IHCL will have 37 hotels in Maharashtra, with 13 more under development.
