Star Wars The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter set coming for May 4

Lego’s latest Star Wars set is perfectly timed. The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter (set No. 75442) will be recreated in Lego brick form just in time for Lucasfilm’s annual “May the Fourth” celebration and to build hype for The Mandalorian and Grogu, which docks into movie theaters on May 22.

For Star Wars fans with a fondness for both the Naboo Starfighter designs of the prequel era and the lived-in universe of George Lucas’ original trilogy, the new set will be a must-have. But the Ultimate Collector Series building set is also a little pricey, coming in at $249.99 for the 1,809-piece set. The set measures over 8.5 inches (21 cm) high, 26.5 inches (67 cm) long, and 15.5 inches (39 cm) wide.

Din Djarin’s N-1 Starfighter was previously seen in The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian season 3. The Mandalorian bounty hunter’s version of the classic Naboo Starfighter ditches the bright yellow and shiny chrome of its original form for something a bit more menacing. To capture the look of Mando’s ship, The Lego Group says that the model uses “advanced LEGO building techniques and special silver Drum Lacquered elements to capture the ship’s distinctive Naboo-inspired silhouette and intricate detailing.”

Of course, it comes with tiny Mandalorian and Grogu minifigures to complement the display.

Lego’s The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter set goes on sale on May 1 for Lego Insiders and for everyone on May 4. To sweeten the deal, Lego is offering a gift with purchase from May 1-6, the Lego Star Wars The Mandalorian and Grogu Display. The company describes it thusly:

Add an eye-catching The Mandalorian and Grogu display to your shelf or desk decor. This LEGO Star Wars collectible ornament features a lenticular ‘film strip’ image of Mando and Grogu in the cockpit of the N-1 Starfighter. View from a different angle to see the stars blurring around them, as if the starfighter is hitting top speed. A cool gift with purchase for kids and any fans ages 6 and up, this ornament has a decoratively engraved base for display and comes in a presentation box.

Additionally, Lego fans who spend $160 or more on Lego Star Wars products May 1-6 will receive the Lego Star Wars The Darksaber (set No. 40917) as a gift.
