World of Hyatt has partnered with mental health platform Headspace to launch “Headspace’s Science Behind Sleep,” a video series that provides scientifically supported sleep tips for travelers. The series is accessible in guestrooms at nearly 400 Hyatt hotels and on the Headspace app.

The collaboration comes in response to a survey that indicated 75% of consumers prioritize sleep quality when traveling. The video series, filmed at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Carlsbad, California, covers topics such as managing jet lag, establishing a travel bedtime routine, and dealing with nighttime wake-ups. It also provides advice on food and drink choices to protect sleep and ways to use morning sunlight for better overall well-being.

The series was developed by Headspace’s Dora Kamau, a meditation and mindfulness teacher, and sleep expert Dr. Aric Prather. It aims to help travelers navigate the emotions that often accompany travel and can impact sleep quality.

The first episode of the series is available on Hyatt’s YouTube Channel. Guests and members can view the entire series on guestroom TVs in nearly 400 participating Hyatt hotels.

Hyatt and Headspace first teamed up in 2019 to provide mindfulness exercises, guided meditations, and sleep content to guests, World of Hyatt members, and Hyatt employees. In 2023, they expanded their offerings with premium colored noise content.

Hyatt is also offering one-year complimentary subscriptions to Headspace as a part of their initiative to support non-profit organizations like Salt & Light Coalition Chicago, ReStore NYC, University of Maryland Safe Center for Human Trafficking Survivors, Safe House Project, BEST Alliance, and Survivor Alliance.
