It’s been a packed week for new releases on Netflix US, with 29 new movies and series touching down over the past seven days. If you’re looking for something to watch this weekend, we’ve picked out three highlights before diving into the full list of new arrivals and the titles currently dominating the top 10s.

Since we’ve hit the midway point of the month, you’ll also want to check out our updated guide to what’s coming throughout the back half of March, as well as our early look at what’s coming up in April.

Best New Movies & Shows to Watch on Netflix This Weekend

That Night (Limited Series) Netflix Original

Genre: Crime Thriller, Psychological Drama
Language: Spanish
Cast: Clara Galle, Claudia Salas, Paula Usero, Pedro Casablanc

Created by Jason George (Narcos, Into the Night), this new Spanish thriller dedicates each episode to a different character’s shifting perspective. The plot kicks off when a young single mother is implicated in a murder during an island getaway, prompting her sisters to rush to her aid—only to make matters spectacularly worse.

Netflix Launches ‘One Piece’ Season 2 Companion Podcast And Sets Bonus Content Drop

In our 3.5-star review, we concluded: “A very finely paced, grounded dramatic miniseries that escapes its easy thriller premise. It shines through its psychological drama and a relevant examination of grief, despair, and guilt, laying a foundation for a quietly moving finale.”

Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale (2025)

Genre: Historical Drama
Director: Simon Curtis
Cast: Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern

Arriving on Netflix via the new Universal animated and live-action output deal is the final (for real this time… maybe) entry in the long-running British institution. This time around, the Crawley family is forced to face a rapidly changing modern era when Mary finds herself at the center of a public scandal, all while the devastating financial ripple effects of the Wall Street Crash threaten the estate’s future.

Packed with the sharp wit, stellar ensemble performances, and lavish production design fans expect, it’s a fitting and emotional send-off for the beloved franchise.

ONE PIECE (Season 2) Netflix Original

Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Creators: Matt Owens, Steven Maeda
Cast: Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar

The Straw Hats have officially returned. Following the massive, curse-breaking success of its freshman season, Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga is finally back and setting sail for the treacherous Grand Line—and based on early reviews and scores, it hasn’t lost any momentum.

Season 2 scales up the world significantly, bringing higher stakes, a bigger budget, and a new roster of allies and villains. As Luffy and his crew continue their quest, the show manages to effortlessly recapture the swashbuckling charm that made the first season a global phenomenon. It’s easily one of the biggest streaming events of the month.

Much like War Machine on the film side, The Dinosaurs had a dominant opening week on the TV charts, managing to hold Bridgerton down in the number two spot. We’ll have a better idea of its performance when the official global viewing numbers drop on Tuesday.
