Treehouse Hotel has opened a new location in Sunnyvale, California, offering a unique blend of whimsy and warmth in the heart of Silicon Valley. The hotel aims to provide a different hotel experience with a design that encourages curiosity and embodies a philosophy of enjoyment.

The new hotel sets out to differentiate itself from the minimalist style commonly found in Silicon Valley properties. Its approach is defined by maximal comfort, sensory delights, and an ethos that the hotel calls “carefreedom.” The hotel is situated on a reimagined orchard once filled with grapevines and fruit trees, embodying California’s agricultural roots. The hotel’s aesthetic is unusual, with a focus on rich textures, vintage finds, and handcrafted objects.

Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley offers 111 guest rooms and suites, each designed with natural materials and artisan pieces emphasizing individuality. Room amenities include natural cotton robes, custom refillable bath products, and minibars stocked with locally made treats.

On the culinary front, the hotel features a new destination restaurant named Valley Goat, helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Stephanie Izard. The menu is globally inspired and utilizes the region’s produce. Additional dining options include the Backyard Café and the seasonal Beer Garden, which offers 32 rotating taps of local brews and biodynamic wines.

The hotel also offers 7,750 square feet of event space for business gatherings, weddings, and other types of events.

Sustainability is at the forefront of the hotel’s operations. Over 120 trees were preserved during construction, and more than 300 native trees were planted. Half of the property is irrigated with recycled water, and the hotel implements waste-reducing measures such as low-flow fixtures and water refill stations. The hotel’s kitchens and bars adhere to zero-waste principles.
