A new state-of-the-art wellness centre is soon to open its doors in Toronto, and it’s coming with some next-level perks.

RCVRI Toronto has officially landed at 8 Mercer St., the city’s first edition of the Australian spa that specializes in recovery and wellness. It will officially open on July 1.

The centre’s claim to fame is that it offers an almost elite level of performance-based tools and modalities to aid in recovery, the kind that are only available to pro athletes. With that comes a whole whack of state-of-the-art treatments and programs.

Besides your traditional saunas, water, and red light therapy, RCVRI is home to the city’s first zero-gravity flotation bed, a “unique sensory experience” that “removes external stimuli, which allows your body to completely relax and regenerate,” according to RCVRI Toronto.

Slip into the ZeroGravity bed, a “weightless, floating” sensation, similar to that of a sensory deprivation tank, without actually getting wet! Guests will also be surrounded by coloured lights that mimic a starry sky as they receive a lumbar massage.

Available with 30-minute or one-hour sessions, the single ZeroGravity Experience room is private and has to be booked in advance on the RCVRI website.

RCVRI Toronto touts the benefits of this dry-float therapy, which include a reduction in stress and anxiety, accelerated muscle recovery, enhanced mood, improved sleep quality, and increased focus and concentration.

Another unique therapy is the PEMF Therapy, which uses “low-frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields to support cellular repair, improve circulation and reduce inflammation,” aiming for a “deeper” layer of healing.

Get ready to enter your healing era this summer, Toronto.
