Minor Hotels Europe & Americas has announced the upcoming opening of the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand to Italy’s mountain hotel sector by adding the NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso. The four-star establishment, nestled in the Pennine Alps, is set to undergo renovations before its official opening under the new brand in March 2025.

The NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso is situated in Alagna Valsesia, at the foot of Monte Rosa. It is located for families and ski enthusiasts, just minutes from a cable car to the Monte Rosa Ski Hotel. This ski area links the Valsesia Valley, Gressoney Valley, and Champoluc Valley, offering 150 kilometers of slopes between Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.

The hotel boasts 56 rooms and a wellness center. The 300-square-meter adult-only area features indoor and outdoor pools, a salt flotation pool, a whirlpool, two saunas, a Turkish bath, experiential showers, and four treatment rooms. A separate 400-square-meter area caters to families with an indoor and outdoor pool. Other amenities include a spacious garden with a children’s play area, sun loungers, and a restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with full board or a la carte options.

Lara Ponti, owner of Hotel Mirtillo Rosso, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Minor Hotels. She highlighted the partnership as an opportunity for development and a recognition of the value of the Monte Rosa area. She also noted the shared commitment to sustainable business practices, community values, and environmental respect.

The acquisition of this property is a significant addition to the NH Collection brand portfolio, which is marking its tenth anniversary. The brand currently operates 17 hotels in key Italian cities, including Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice, Taormina, Genoa, Verona, and Turin. Minor Hotels Europe & Americas presently manages 60 properties in Italy under various brands, including Anantara, Tivoli, Avani, NH Collection, nhow, and NH.
