NH Collection Pemba Island Resort Announced for Tanzania’s Pemba Island

Minor Hotels has signed an agreement for the NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania, with an opening planned for February 2030. The property will be developed in partnership with Infinity Developments, the owner of Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences, which is currently under construction.

The NH Collection Pemba Island Resort will be located a short drive from Pemba Airport and is designed to provide access from both Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam. The resort will have 145 keys, comprising guestrooms, suites, and villas. Facilities at the property will include multiple dining outlets and meeting, incentive, conference, and event (MICE) spaces.

The project aims to maintain the island’s exclusive and low-impact tourism character. The NH Collection Pemba Island Resort will be the first property under the NH Collection brand in Tanzania and marks an expansion of the brand into the Zanzibar archipelago.

The signing of this property follows the collaboration between Minor Hotels and Infinity Developments on the Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences project.
