Parks and Rec fans were in for a real treat this weekend when two fan-favorite actors inadvertently ended up on the same flight, leading to a “fantastic” reunion.

Nick Offerman couldn’t help but take the opportunity for a good-natured prank when he spotted his friend and former co-star, Jim O’Heir, on the same flight, biding his time until the plane began its final descent into their destination.

According to O’Heir, who shared a selfie of the two of them from the terminal after the fact, he had no idea Offerman was onboard with him until they were “about to land,” and he heard the professional woodworker’s voice come over the PA system and start “talking about Jerry, Gary, Larry and Terry Gergich.”

“It was awesome,” he admitted.

Fans Would Have Paid Big Bucks To Be a Part of Such a Special Moment

Longtime fans of the show were obsessed with the “epic coincidence,” with many wishing they could have borne witness to the “fantastic” encounter.

“What a flight!” one gushed, while another admitted that it “would have been the coolest flight ever.”

“I’d have paid way too much money to be on the flight with you two,” someone else admitted, as another quipped they’d “start the bidding to have been a passenger…at $10,000.”

One follower joked that it was “lil Sebastian’s doing” to see his two “favorite fricken guys, running into each other unknowingly at the airport,” while another fawned over the “Couple of handsome dudes! 😉.”

Both Actors Have Films Airing at the Heartland International Film Festival

It’s not entirely clear where the pair were traveling from or to, but they each have a project airing at the Heartland International Film Festival in Indianapolis, where O’Heir has since shared photos from on his Instagram Story.

O’Heir produced and starred in the film Premarital, which follows a pastor as he plots to convert his daughter’s fiancé to Christianity ahead of the wedding.

Meanwhile, Offerman stars in Under The Lights, a film following a young man with epilepsy who is determined to have “a normal coming of age,” leading him to go to prom despite the risk of the lights causing a seizure.
