Northern lights captured in photos

Most Canadian skygazers and shutterbugs were treated to a spectacular aurora display from Thursday night through Friday morning.
The amazing light display was the result of the Earth-facing coronal hole of the Sun and the solar wind. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
NOAA issued a geomagnetic storm watch earlier this week as a result of a ‘hole’ in the sun and a ‘coronal mass ejection’ on Sunday.
Solar activity resulted in auroras in the northern skies, with greens, purples and reds over much of Canada.
Even if you happen to miss Thursday’s light show, there’s a chance there’ll be another show on Friday night, according to NOAA.
