Novotel is expanding its presence in Europe with new openings in Malta and Croatia. These openings are part of the brand’s ongoing expansion strategy, which has seen its presence grow across various European countries, including Spain, France, and Germany.

Since its inception in 1967, Novotel has established nearly 600 hotels in over 60 countries, with an additional 180+ hotels being planned. The brand focuses on providing its guests a balanced experience, featuring flexible workspaces and shared areas designed for relaxation and productivity.

Philippe Bijaoui, Novotel’s Chief Development Officer for Europe and North Africa, stated that the brand’s expansion strategy centers around providing spaces that integrate business and leisure. He emphasized Novotel’s commitment to shaping the future of travel with an experience-led approach that resonates with modern travelers.

Among the recent openings is the Novotel Valencia Lavant in Spain, featuring 370 rooms, coworking spaces, and an on-site restaurant. The hotel is near the iconic Palacio de Congresos and boasts a rooftop pool bar and terrace.

The Novotel Malta Sliema marks the brand’s debut in Malta. This waterfront hotel, expected to open this summer, offers 293 rooms, a rooftop pool, a bar and terrace, and a modern wellness center. It also provides conference facilities and meeting rooms for business travelers.

The Novotel Zagreb is slated to open this summer in Croatia. This hotel, the fifth Accor property in the country, offers 163 rooms, a fitness area with a sauna, a garden and terrace, and 500 sqm of conference space. It is located 20 minutes from Franjo Tuđman International Airport.

The Novotel Hamburg HafenCity in Germany is located in the vibrant HafenCity district. The hotel, expected to open later this year, will offer 163 rooms, a restaurant and bar, and is close to local attractions and shopping areas. This will be the 27th Novotel property in Germany.

Lastly, the Novotel Paris La Déf Nanterre in France, opening this summer, adds the dynamic district of La Defense to its locations. The 170-room hotel features contemporary interiors, a trendy restaurant and bar, and over 4,000 sq. ft. of meeting spaces.
