Ocean Key Resort & Spa Completes Property Renovation

Ocean Key Resort & Spa has completed a multistage renovation encompassing guestrooms and suites, the Hot Tin Roof restaurant, White Ibis Boardroom, lobby and public spaces. The property is located between Key West Harbor and Mallory Square.

The renovation includes Sweet Bird Bar, a waterfront bar adjacent to the lobby that serves cocktails and small plates. Its design draws inspiration from Tennessee Williams’ “Sweet Bird of Youth.”

The final component of the project is a custom mural by artist Orla Ananda. Designed for Ocean Key Resort & Spa, the mural references Key West’s color, creativity and waterfront setting.

The renovation was completed before the 47th annual Fantasy Fest, scheduled for Oct. 16-25, 2026. The festival’s theme is “Musical Icons and Iconic Musicals.” The event includes performances, contests, the Fantasy Fest Parade and Street Fair.

Ocean Key Resort & Spa has 100 rooms and suites. Its facilities include Hot Tin Roof, Sunset Pier, LIQUID Pool Bar & Lounge, Sweet Bird Bar, SpaTerre and the White Ibis Boardroom. LIQUID Pool Bar & Lounge includes an oceanfront infinity pool and private cabanas.

Hot Tin Roof is a AAA Four-Diamond Award restaurant. Sunset Pier offers waterfront dining and drinks, while SpaTerre provides spa treatments.
