An investigation is underway after police sources say several shots were fired in West Chester Sunday afternoon.

What we know:

At around 2:50 p.m., West Chester Police Department officers responded to a home on the 50th Block of South Church Street.

Police say shots were fired at the residence.

Police sources say the suspected shooter was on the roof of the building. 

Multiple police departments arrived at the scene to resolve the situation.

A person was taken into custody at around 3:55 p.m., officials say.

What we don’t know:

Officials have not reported any injuries at this time. 

The identity of the suspected shooter has not been released. 

The incident is under investigation by the Chester County Detectives.
