Olivia and Noah most popular baby names in Sask. for 2022

Olivia and Noah topped the list as the most popular baby names in Saskatchewan in 2022, according to a list published by eHealth Saskatchewan.
For the eighth year in a row, Olivia has been the top girl name, and for the second year in a row, Noah has been the most popular boy name, according to eHealth’s list.

The second most popular name for baby girls in 2022 is Amelia, up from number eight in 2021.
According to data released on February 13, there will be 60 girls named Olivia born in Saskatchewan in 2022, including Amelia (44), Emma (43), Ava (41), Lily (39), Sophia, 37, followed. .
58 boys named Noah were born in 2022, followed by Liam (52) and Leo (47). Jack and Lucas tied for fourth (44), Benjamin and Theodore tied for fifth (43). bottom.
According to eHealth Saskatchewan, 2022 will bring several new names to the top 20 list. Mia has again ranked her number 15 on the women’s list. It’s the only time Mia has made the top 20 list in the last decade. Walker is number 12 and Bo is number 16 on the list of boy names.

Girl names have been reduced from 2021. The baby girl names that didn’t carry over to the top 20 list for 2022 were Harper, Aria, Avery and Nova.
Meanwhile, more than a third of the most popular baby boy names in 2021 didn’t make it back to the top 20 list in 2022. These include Grayson, Jackson, Henry, Brooks, Bennett, Emmett and Rhett.
According to eHealth Saskatchewan, as of February 13, 2023, a total of 12,802 births for 2022 have been registered in Saskatchewan, with the final tally expected to be completed in March. There were 14,559 registered births in 2021.
These figures do not include Saskatchewan mothers who gave birth out of state.
