Olivia Rodrigo has now joined the growing list of musicians who have happily granted a fan request to assist with a gender reveal while onstage.
The 21-year-old pop star was in the middle of her Tuesday, July 23, performance at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., when she noticed a fan holding up a sign in the audience. A concertgoer nearby filmed the exchange that followed, which TikToker Sher later posted on the social media platform.
Though the fan’s sign was out of view in the video, Rodrigo’s excitement made it clear that it featured a special request to help out an expecting mother. The “drivers license” hitmaker rushed over to stand as close to the fan as she could without leaving the stage. A security guard accepted an envelope from the person with the sign and passed it along to Rodrigo as she asked for their name.
After learning the fan’s name was Savannah, the “vampire” songstress asked the crowd, “Do we think that Savannah is having a boy or a girl?” Her question was met with a wave of sound as people shouted out their guesses.

Rodrigo admitted she had “butterflies” as she opened the envelope. She then flashed a huge smile at her audience as she announced, “Savannah, you’re having a boy!”
The crowd erupted with cheers and applause as concertgoers celebrated the news. Rodrigo was emotional as she walked back across the stage, telling fans, “Oh my god, I’m gonna cry. I can’t believe I was a part of that. Oh my god. Congratulations!”

People on TikTok loved seeing Rodrigo’s “so excited” reaction to the gender reveal request.
“She’s so excited it’s so sweet 😭💗,” one person gushed as another said they “love how happy Olivia is she has one of the sweetest souls ever.”
One TikToker who said they were at the show described the moment as “CRAZYYYY” in the comment section, while another admitted they did not have an onstage gender reveal on their “BINGO CARD” for Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour.
Others noticed that amidst the heartfelt moment was a noticeable camera operator who had raced around the edge of the stage to capture the gender reveal on video. Several people were tickled by the man’s speed as he hefted his large camera into position.
“The cameraman didn’t wanna miss a thing 😂,” one person laughed as another described his reaction as “so real.”
“The cameraman was like: I have to to see this,” another fan joked.
