Olympics: Canadian men’s relay team to get silver medals

Langley, British Columbia –
The Canadian men’s 4x100m relay team finally wins the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Canadian Olympic Committee announced Monday that team members André de Grasse, Aaron Brown, Jerome Blake and Brendon Rodney will receive upgraded medals at a medal redistribution ceremony at the Canadian national competition on Saturday.
The team originally won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Games two years ago.
However, a formal upgrade took place in May 2022 following the disqualification of the British team for a doping violation by team member CJ Uzier.
Canada finished the race in 37.70 seconds, while Great Britain stopped the clock at 37.51 seconds. Italy won the gold medal in 37.50 seconds.
China, who had finished fourth at the time, was promoted to the bronze medal.
