The Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is now accepting reservations in anticipation of its opening in September 2025. This 29-story hotel is connected to the Broward County Convention Center and near the Port Everglades Cruise Terminal.
The hotel is expected to play a crucial role in the growth and development of the local tourism and hospitality industry. As a new hospitality cornerstone in Broward County, the hotel aims to cater to the local community, meeting planners, leisure travelers, and cruise guests.
According to estimates, the hotel and convention center expansion project is expected to generate more than $450 million for the local economy and create over three thousand full and part-time jobs upon completion.
The 29-story hotel will feature 801 guest rooms, including 82 suites, offering views of the Intracoastal Waterway and beach. The property will also provide a range of on-site amenities, including at least six distinct dining options, a full-service spa, an elevated pool deck with captivating views, a fitness center, and outdoor spaces for various activities.
The hotel is the result of a partnership between Broward County, Visit Lauderdale, and Matthews Southwest, a development company selected by Broward County to lead its development as part of the broader expansion of the Broward County Convention Center.
Key features of the property include 120,000 square feet of flexible event and conference space, including a 30,000-square-foot Waterway Ballroom and a 15,000-square-foot Port Everglades Ballroom. The hotel also features a variety of dining options, a Mokara Spa, an expansive fitness center, and outdoor event lawn space.
The hotel’s prime location provides easy access to Broward’s top attractions, including its palm-lined beaches, lively shopping boulevards, and cultural venues. It is also conveniently located just minutes from the Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than five miles from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
