Hello, summer days by the water! Colchester Beach is located in Southern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Erie, a warm, sandy spot to post up for a day in the sun. The area is known for its warm climate, and the beach has everything you need.

Colchester is part of Essex County, meaning your beach day is going to be in one of the province’s hottest spots!

According to Essex County’s tourism website, “Essex County is bounded on three sides by water – Lake Erie to the south, the Detroit River to the west and Lake St. Clair to the north. We are Ontario’s warmest county.”

Not only will it be warm, but it will also be very clean. “Colchester Beach is one of Essex County’s cleanest and most attractive beaches,” says Colchester’s website.

The sandy beach has volleyball nets, an outdoor concession stand and a brand-new washroom facility.

There are plenty of free parking lots around the area to leave your car, too.

The marina and harbour at the beach are a great place to take a walk with beautiful views of Lake Erie.

You can check out the conditions of the water before you go by taking a peek at the live camera that’s set up at the harbour.

Enjoy your beach day, Ontario!
