Pan Pacific Hotels Group has opened Pan Pacific Dalian, marking its seventh hotel in China and first in the city of Dalian.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the opening of Pan Pacific Dalian, expanding its presence in China with its first hotel in the coastal city of Dalian. The hotel is situated on Youting Road, offering convenient access to key areas, including Xinghai Square, the Dalian World Expo Centre, and the Dalian Xinghai Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Dalian is noted for its growing role in international trade and as a destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). The city reported an 87.8% increase in tourist arrivals in 2023 compared to the previous year, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. Additionally, Dalian’s GDP reached RMB 951.69 billion (approximately USD 131 billion) in 2024, with a notable increase in foreign investment utilization.

The Pan Pacific Dalian features 216 rooms and suites, with design elements inspired by Dalian’s historical trade connections between China and Russia. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including meeting and event facilities, a fitness center, a spa, and a rooftop bar. A rooftop helipad is also available for VIP transfers and aerial sightseeing.

This opening is part of the group’s strategy to expand in China’s urban centers, joining other locations such as Pan Pacific Beijing, Pan Pacific Ningbo, and Pan Pacific Suzhou. The company aims to capitalize on China’s domestic travel market, which is projected to become the largest in the world by 2030. The market is currently valued at approximately USD 744 billion and is projected to grow at a rate of 12% annually.
