Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, shocked fans after debuting a new impressive talent within the sport.
The NFL team shared a clip of Patrick, 29, during his team’s recent training camp, where he perfectly punted a football to the opposite side of the field. “PUNTRICK MAHOMES,” the Wednesday, July 23, caption read via X.
Fans cheered on the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback in a lengthy list of responses.
“Wow!!! So Dope, there’s literally nothing he can’t accomplish!!! My main man Mahomes!!!” one person wrote.
A second fan replied, “When you that good you just be bored at times.”
“If he can punt as well as he throws – NO PROBLEM!!” a third person wrote.
The clip was later shared on the team’s official Instagram account, and fans seemed unsurprised by Patrick’s skill.
“Y’all didn’t know 15 was our backup punter?” someone joked.
“They bout to be running some wild trick plays,” a separate fan joked.
During the Chiefs’ training camp, Patrick shared his game plan for the 2025-2026 NFL season after losing the 2025 Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I’ve got to be better at throwing the ball down the field,” the Texas native told reporters at the time. “In order for the offense to be great, you’ve got to complete those passes. It starts with me and giving those guys chances, but if we can do that, it’s going to open up the offense in general.”
Meanwhile, Patrick has recently shared content of himself whipping up gains in the gym during the offseason. On Thursday, July 24, the professional athlete showed a compilation of exercises he tackles in the gym via Instagram, which helps his smooth plays on the field.
Patrick was the 10th pick in the first round during the 2017 NFL Draft, leading him to take home a Super Bowl ring in 2020, 2023 and 2024.
