Pillsbury is winning over fans with four new grocery store finds.

Weeks after welcoming summer with new seasonal Funfetti mixes and frostings and introducing patriotic specials perfect for this year’s historic Independence Day, the iconic boxed cake mix and ready-to-make dough brand has quietly begun rolling out more bakery-style treats that seem to offer endless possibilities for enjoyment.

Some may say that any Pillsbury product can be used to make more than just the recipe on the box, and while they’d be absolutely correct (we personally love making its Cinnamon Rolls in the waffle maker), the brand’s new Poppin’ Flavors line—which includes two new flavored biscuits and two new fruit roll pastries—takes it to new extremes.

Pillsbury’s Refrigerated Dough Gets 4 Poppin’ New Flavors

While the company hasn’t officially announced the newcomers yet, three of the four additions are live on its website: Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Maple Biscuits, Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Apple Fruit Rolls and Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Raspberry Fruit Rolls. Their official descriptions are as follows:

  • Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Biscuits Maple: Crispy outside, fluffy inside and oh so golden-brown good! Enjoy them on their own or with spreads. They’re great for breakfast sandwiches, monkey bread and homestyle biscuits and gravy too. Just pop, peel and bake. They’re ready in minutes. Each can will make eight biscuits.
  • Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Fruit Rolls Apple: In minutes, you’ll have an irresistible addition to a breakfast or brunch. Simply pop, place, and bake the apple roll dough in an oven, then finish with the creamy vanilla icing on top. Use the refrigerated dough to quickly whip up sweet sensations like apple-Kissed Breakfast Bread Pudding, apple-Almond Breakfast Bake, or Apple-Vanilla Breakfast Rolls. Each can will make five Fruit Rolls.
  • Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Fruit Rolls Raspberry: Just like the new Apple Fruit Rolls, fans can simply bake and serve delicious Pillsbury Raspberry Rolls as dessert or breakfast, or use the dough and a bit of creativity to make their own treats. Each can will make five Fruit Rolls.

The fourth, more elusive flavor, may not be online yet, but it’s popping up on store shelves: Pillsbury Grands Poppin’ Flavor Mike’s Hot Honey Biscuits.

While there was no product information for Parade to review, an image of its packaging indicates each can will also make eight biscuits. They will presumably combine the sweet-and-spicy (“swicy”) flavors of Mike’s Hot Honey with the classic crunchy outside and fluffy middle of Pillsbury Grands.

And it appears fans don’t need any official word to know that these newcomers pack serious potential.

“Oh that’s a nice addition!” one Instagram user cheered.

“oooohhh that hot honey has a chance to be good,” another added.

A third said they “Definitely wanna try the fruit rolls.”

“Ohhh, I’m excited for all of these! Hot honey biscuits with fried chicken patties! Maple biscuits with bacon and eggs! And fruit rolls which are essentially danishes! Can NOT wait to try,” another cheered, teasing, “please don’t disappoint me @pillsbury.”

“Hot honey biscuits?!” someone else said in disbelief. “OOH! These would slap in chicken sandwiches or even breakfast sandwiches.”

“Oh wow that’s so yummy apple and raspberry biscuits,” one more gushed, “we can’t wait buy it ❤️.”

Where Will the New Pillsbury Biscuits and Fruit Rolls Be Available?

So far, shoppers have found the items at their local Hy-Vee. Since Pillsbury hasn’t announced the new lineup yet, it’s hard to say for sure where they will be available and for how long.

However, since their online descriptions don’t mention exclusivity, we believe they should be rolling out to stores that typically carry other refrigerated Pillsbury products (prices may vary).

Parade reached out to a spokesperson for comment.
