The Pokémon Company dropped its second Pokémon Presents showcase of the year on Tuesday, revealing a surprise new game and offering our first look at a new Pokémon animated series from the studio behind Wallace & Gromit. There’s also an extended peek at the highly anticipated Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

There’s a new Pokémon game out today. Pokémon Friends is a daily puzzle game that lets players solve a variety of Pokémon-themed brain teasers, earn plush Pokémon, and decorate a virtual room. It’s available on Nintendo Switch and Android and iOS devices.
New details on Pokémon Legends: Z-A were revealed, including the phenomena known as Rogue Mega Evolutions. Some wild Pokémon in Lumiose City are Mega Evolving on their own and wreaking havoc. Quasartico Inc., the corporation driving Lumiose City’s redevelopment, tasks players and Team MZ to investigate these occurrences, which extend to new Mega-Evolved Pokémon like Mega Dragonite.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is out on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on Oct. 16.
The Pokémon Company revealed new details and gameplay features for Pokémon Champions, the upcoming battle-focused game with familiar mechanics, two formats, three battle modes, and the ability to bring over Pokémon through Pokémon Home. Pokémon Champions is coming to Nintendo Switch and Android and iOS devices in 2026.
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu
The Pokémon Company and animation studio Aardman showed off their new stop-motion animated series Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu for the first time. The new animation is coming in 2027, promising a “unique look into the Pokémon world with the signature Aardman sense of character, comedy and craft.”
The Netflix stop-motion original animation series Pokémon Concierge is coming back on Sept. 4 with new episodes and new Pokémon. A new trailer for the show teases what Haru and Psyduck will get up to in season 2.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
A new Tera Raid Battle series is coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The Shiny Treasure of Ruin will see Shiny Wo-Chien, Shiny Chien-Pao, Shiny Ting-Lu, and Shiny Chi-Yu obtainable, but only if players meet certain numbers.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale is coming, with a new Dark Skies event and the arrival of Eternatus.
Drowsy new Pokémon coming to Pokémon Sleep include those dogs: Entei, Raikou, and Suicune arrive in September. Trapinch is also ready to take a nap, and a new area (Amber Canyon) is en route in November.
