Certain varieties of MadeGood granola bars are being recalled in Canada due to the possibility they contain “a piece of metal.”
In a news release, the company said that it is voluntarily recalling the products due to the “very small risk” that some MadeGood varieties made between January and November 2024 could be affected.
It added that it has “addressed the source of the issue,” and there have been no injury reports.
“We’re initiating this recall out of an abundance of caution and commitment to the wellbeing of our valued customers,” stated MadeGood.

The company added that it is working with retailers to ensure all recalled products are removed from shelves.
This isn’t the only food item that was recently recalled to traces of metal.
On December 4, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced that it recalled several brands of bagels due to “extraneous material.” The recall is in effect for Alberta, B.C., Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
“Various brands of bagels recalled due to pieces of metal,” stated the CFIA. “This recall is linked to Sifto brand Hy·Grade Salt recalled due to pieces of metal, as the affected salt was used to make these recalled products.”
