Sugar Shack TO is making a huge comeback to Toronto’s waterfront this winter!
The beloved celebration of things maple and sweet will officially return, with a new home at Harbourfront Centre this March 2026.
For years, Sugar Beach was home to the sweetest event of the year, which featured maple-infused drinks and eats, maple sugaring demos, and more. Due to a lack of funding and an increase in production costs, we didn’t get to enjoy the event in 2025.
Now, it’s back and bigger than ever, thanks in part to its collaboration with Harbourfront Centre.
“We’re thrilled to bring Sugar Shack TO back to Toronto’s waterfront, and even more excited to partner with Harbourfront Centre for the first time,” said Mike Riehl, Chair of the Water’s Edge Festivals and Events Board of Directors.
“This new partnership allows us to deliver an even better experience with all the authentic maple traditions, live entertainment, and Canadian culture that families have come to love. We promised we’d be back stronger in 2026, and we’re delivering on that promise.”
What to expect this year at Sugar Shack TO
And on that note, there’s lots to look forward to. Expect two sugar shacks serving up fresh Ontario maple taffy rolled on snow, maple-infused comfort food and Redpath Sugar goodies, and maple sugaring demonstrations.
The fun doesn’t end there, because you can keep jammin’ with live entertainment, along with interactive activities.
And considering it’s taking place in winter, there will be Billy Bishop Airport Warming stations to keep you snug throughout the event.
The best part about all of this is that it’s free to attend.
