Prince William made a rare comment regarding his wife Kate Middletonand her health post cancer battle in a new interview.

The Prince of Wales sat down with Eugene Levy for an upcoming episode of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler. In the conversation, William, 43, revealed that Kate, also 43, is now cancer-free, along with an update on his father, King Charles.

“Yes, things are good. Everything is progressing in the right way, which is all good news,” William said of his wife in the episode, per PEOPLE. Levy goes on to ask if Middleton is in remission, to which he replied, “Yes, she is yes… It’s great news.”

The prince didn’t shy away from describing how difficult the past year has been for his family, especially Middleton and Charles. “You know, I’m so proud of my Wife and my father for how they’ve handled all of last year. My children have managed brilliantly as well,” he said. William and Middleton are parents to three young children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

He touched on how difficult the “hardest year [he ’s] ever had” was and how Middleton’s diagnosis affected his children. “We try to make sure we give them the security and the safety that they need. And we’re a very open family, so we talk about things that bother us, and things that trouble us… it’s just important to be there for each other and to kind of reassure the children that everything is okay,” William said.

The Princess of Wales completed chemotherapy in September 2024 and announced in January of this year that she was in remission. “I remain focused on recovery,” she said at the time, emphasizing that it takes time to adjust after a diagnosis. Since then, she has been slowly reappearing at select royal events, including June’s Trooping the Colour and a state banquet over the summer.

The episode of The Reluctant Traveler featuring William’s interview is set to premiere Friday, October 3, on Apple TV+
