• Qatar’s Hotel Industry Hits Record High in December 2024   

  • Qatar’s hotel industry experienced its highest-ever December occupancy due to multiple high-profile events.
  • The average daily rate (ADR) and revenue per available room (RevPAR) also surged, hitting peak levels on New Year’s Eve.

Qatar’s hotel industry enjoyed a record-setting December in 2024, with occupancy reaching 78.5%, an 8.5% increase from the previous year, according to preliminary data from CoStar.

The average daily rate (ADR) rose by 15.0% to QAR489.03, and the revenue per available room (RevPAR) surged by 24.8% to QAR384.02.

Events such as the Grand Prix race and the FIFA International Cup 2024 Finals significantly boosted the hotel performance.

The highest daily occupancy was recorded on 1st December, the final night of the Grand Prix race, with an impressive 91.9% occupancy. This event also pushed ADR and RevPAR levels to QAR619.18 and QAR568.95. 

Both ADR and RevPAR reached their peak on New Year’s Eve, reaching QAR663.56 and QAR606.98, respectively.

Throughout the month, occupancy remained above 70%, dipping only once on 22nd December to 68.7%. This strong performance underscores the importance of high-profile events in driving the hospitality sector’s growth.
