Rapper Lil Xan was charged with two felony accounts of assault and battery following a violent incident with a concert-goer last fall.

As TMZ reported, the rapper was accused of having a physical altercation with an audience member during a November show at the Royale Boston nightclub in Boston.

According to law enforcement officials, Lil Xan allegedly swung his microphone from the stage at a man and kicked him in the head. While initial reports claimed the attack was unprovoked, footage from the incident seemed to show Lil Xan getting flipped off at one point and body-slammed onstage after he kicked the man.

The musical artist allegedly fled the scene after the altercation.

Earlier this week, Lil Xan opened up to TMZ about celebrating three years of sobriety, sharing his excitement over working with his new record label, 3rd Eye Recordings (a label with Universal Music Group).

He also credited his parents and girlfriend, Lexie, with their support and vowed to “never again” be in a situation like what happened in Boston.

“It’s a lot of great, great stuff going on right now,” he added. “So, I’m just very blessed and very grateful.”

Lil Xan’s latest brush with the law wasn’t his first. As Stereogum reported, he was ordered to pay $27,823.89 in damages and other costs to a man named Anthony Sanchez for allegedly pulling a gun on him during a dispute over Tupac at a gas station in downtown LA.

Sanchez reportedly confronted Lil Xan over a comment he made in 2018 about Tupac’s music being “boring.”
