Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine hospitalized after attack in Florida gym, lawyer says – National

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was hospitalized after he was reportedly attacked by a group of men at a gym in South Florida on Tuesday.

The rapper’s attorney, Lance Lazarus, told celebrity news website TMZ that the artist was inside a sauna at the LA Fitness when he was attacked by three or four men. without warning(Editor’s Note: The link above contains violent footage.)

He said the 26-year-old musician tried to fight back, but was outnumbered.

One of the perpetrators filmed the violence. 6ix9ine’s real name is Daniel Hernandez and is seen lying on the ground with his face covered while two men kick him.

In the video, one attacker in a black T-shirt and shorts is pulling 6ix9ine’s hair and saying, “Take a picture. I want to be famous now.”

When 6ix9ine leaves the bathroom, you can see blood on his face. The man behind the camera tells the rapper, “I’m not going to lie, bro, I’m a fan.”

6ix9ine replies and accuses the man of “jumping” him. Lazzaro told his TMZ that the attacker fled after an employee heard the commotion and notified his manager, Hernandez was taken to the hospital when an ambulance arrived at the gym.

TMZ reported that he also suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs and back. It’s not clear if 6ix9ine is still in the hospital.

Lazarus said he planned to give the artist proper protection, but the rapper did not stay safe with him during the attack.

In April 2020, 6ix9ine was released from federal prison and is serving a two-year sentence on charges including racketeering, drug trafficking, and firearms crimes.

He was given a shorter prison sentence after cooperating with federal authorities and providing the names of his associates. He took leniency from charges that could carry him to a minimum of 37 years in prison.

The deal led 6ix9ine to be called “rat” by the likes of rappers Meek Mill and Snoop Dogg.

It’s unclear whether a plea bargain motivated Tuesday’s attack on Hernandez.

On social media, multiple users Claimed the video of the attack was stagedspecifically because the rapper was wearing a puffer coat during the incident, despite his lawyers claiming he was in the sauna.
