Donald Trump is returning to the White House. No. 45 will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States at the 60th presidential inauguration ceremony. Former presidents and first ladies, along with musical performers, will flock to the nation’s capitol for inaugural events. 

“This monumental weekend will commemorate President Trump’s historic victory and the 60th Presidential Inauguration with a celebration of music, unity, and patriotism, ushering in America’s new Golden Age,” Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, co-chairs of the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee, Inc., said in a press release.

Carrie Underwood

Grammy Award winner Carrie Underwood will be performing “America the Beautiful” at the swearing-in ceremony. “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” the American Idol alum said in a statement shared with Parade. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

Meanwhile, the national anthem will be performed by opera tenor Christopher Macchio. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “It is with deep humility and gratitude that I have accepted @realDonaldTrump President Donald J. Trump’s gracious invitation to perform our National Anthem at the Inauguration of our 47th President. In opening and closing this magnificent ceremony with music that celebrates our nation, I hope to contribute to restoring the spirit of unity, strength, and love of country, that will help Make America Great Again.”

Lee Greenwood

Lee Greenwood confirmed on Fox & Friends that he will be singing “God Bless the USA” before the president takes his oath. In a statement shared on X, the singer said, “I am humbled and honored to be asked to perform for our 47th President Donald J. Trump during his inaugural events. The President has been a friend of [his wife] Kim and I’s for many years and this is one of the most historical moments in our lifetime. I look forward to celebrating this special day with proud Americans everywhere.”

The Village People announced on Jan. 13 that they had accepted an invitation to participate in inaugural activities. “We know this wont make some of you happy to hear however we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics,” they said in a statement on Facebook. “Our song Y.M.C.A. is a global anthem that hopefully helps bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign where our preferred candidate lost. Therefore, we believe it’s now time to bring the country together with music which is why VILLAGE PEOPLE will be performing at various events as part of the 2025 Inauguration of Donald J. Trump.”

Who is performing at Donald Trump’s 2025 inaugural balls?

The Commander-in-Chief Ball performers include Rascal Flatts and Parker McCollum. Rascal Flatts frontman Gary LeVox wrote on his Instagram that he’s “so humbled and honored and grateful for the opportunity again to play the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States.” 

He added, “I got to play it in 2016 and now Rascal Flatts will be performing at the commanders ball and I am so looking forward to it! Thank you to Governor Kristi Noem and Mrs. Virginia- It will be a night to remember!”

Jason Aldean and The Village People are set to perform at the Liberty Ball, which will also feature a “surprise musical guest,” according to the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee, while Gavin DeGraw will be at the Starlight Ball.

Who is attending Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration ceremony?

Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the ceremony on Jan. 20 without his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama. The Associated Press has reported that former President George W. Bush and his wife, former First Lady Laura Bush, as well as former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will also be in attendance. 

Per Reuters, President Joe Biden has previously confirmed that “of course” he will be at the inauguration. 

Also at the inauguration will be Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, according to NBC News.

ABC

ABC News’ coverage of Inauguration Day will start at 7 a.m. ET with a special edition of Good Morning America, followed by a day-long special report beginning at 9 a.m. EST. Coverage will include reporting on Trump’s visit to Capitol Hill, the swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural address, the signing ceremony in the Oval Office, as well as the inauguration and more.

David Muir will anchor the primetime special The Second Inauguration of Donald J. Trump – An ABC News Special, which will air on Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC and be available on Hulu the next day. Muir will also anchor a special edition of World News Tonight and Byron Pitts will anchor a special edition of Nightline.

NBC

NBC News’ inauguration coverage will kick off at 7 a.m. ET on Jan. 20 with Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker anchoring Today live from Washington, D.C. At 10 a.m. ET and throughout the day, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and Guthrie will lead NBC News’ special coverage of the inauguration. Holt will also anchor NBC Nightly News live from D.C. starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

FOX News Channel

FOX News Channel’s programming for the inauguration will begin on Sunday, Jan. 19, with weekend editions of FOX & Friends (6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET) featuring Ainsley Earhardt, Steve Doocy, Lawrence Jones and Brian Kilmeade followed by America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET), Outnumbered (12 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET), America Reports with John Roberts and Sandra Smith (1 p.m. to 3 p.m. ET), The Story with Martha MacCallum (3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET) and The Five (5 p.m. ET).
