The former talk show host spoke candidly about her process with Us Weekly, sharing that she started “this journey” in October 2023.

Along with “following a very strict keto diet” and incorporating intermittent fasting into her routine, Lake said, weather permitting, she goes hiking “every single day” with a weighted vest and does Pilates “four days a week.”

Though Lake has nothing against weight loss drugs like Ozempic, she noted that she didn’t use them to achieve her most recent weight loss. “I did not go on any drug because I wasn’t prediabetic,” she said.

Lake continued, sharing that “there’s nothing wrong with those drugs. They’re actually game changers for so many people. But for me, I did not want to be reliant on a drug if I could help it.”

Though Lake didn’t have any pharmaceutical assistance with her recent weight loss, she did rely on health gadgets to help her achieve her goals. “I wore a glucose monitor. I wore my Oura ring. I prioritized sleep and overall, a low-stress lifestyle. And it worked,” she told the outlet, sharing that “it continues to work.”

“I took what was once a chore, you know, every day having to work out and get on the elliptical and hate every minute of it. Now it’s a privilege and a joy to be able to move my body, to not be in pain, to see the results [and] to fit in my size 4 jeans,” Lake continued.
