Robin Roberts gathered the welcoming party ahead of a big announcement made on yesterday’s broadcast.
Right before it was time for the morning cast to pass the baton to the next studio over for a regular Live! With Kelly & Mark episode, the news team broke one more very exciting story.

“Before we skedaddle,” Roberts said at the end of Thursday’s show, “We want to introduce a new member of the ABC News family.”
The longtime media personality went on to eventually reveal ABC News producer Yoni Mintz and his wife had welcomed an adorable new addition to their family, even sharing a sweet photo of the trio at the hospital (a screenshot of which was later re-published by Hello! Magazine).
Mintz and his wife welcomed a baby boy named Jonah Kaydan, per the report.
“Congratulations!” Chief Meteorologist Ginger Zee could be heard exclaiming following the on-air March 13 announcement.
“We are so happy for them,” Roberts added as fellow GMA anchors Michael Strahan, George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer beamed with joy at the news. “Sending our best wishes to the entire family.”
No other information on mom or baby was immediately available, but they both appear to be doing well.
While it looks as though the entire GMA team gets along well, at least from what viewers can see on screen, this sweet shout-out is proof that they support each other through all of life’s biggest moments–work-related or not!
And it’s not just the cast that has each others’ backs, loyal viewers can also consider themselves part of the GMA family, hyping up the hosts and following along with the TV anchors (on and off the air) on a regular basis.
