Rosewood Hotel Group has opened Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, marking the company’s first ski resort and its entry into the alpine hospitality segment. The opening brings the group’s total number of property launches in 2025 to eight across three continents, according to the company.
Located in Courchevel 1850 in the French Alps, the new property is the latest addition to Rosewood’s global development pipeline. The company said the opening aligns with its broader strategy of expanding into new destination types while maintaining a focus on luxury hospitality and branded residential offerings.
Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin features ski-in, ski-out access and includes guest accommodations, dining venues, wellness facilities, and public spaces. The hotel’s lobby features an art installation by Olafur Eliasson, comprising suspended crystalline structures that evoke snowflake forms through mirrored surfaces.
The Courchevel opening follows seven other Rosewood Hotel Group launches in 2025. These include Rosewood Residences Beverly Hills, the company’s first standalone residential property offered for sale in the United States, and the New World Jinzhou Hotel in China. Together, the openings reflect Rosewood’s continued expansion across both hotel and residential segments.
In addition to its 2025 openings, Rosewood Hotel Group is preparing several new projects scheduled to open in the coming years. Among them is Rosewood AMAALA, an ultra-luxury resort under development on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, as well as Rosewood Red Sea, located on Shura Island as part of The Red Sea destination. Both projects are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism development initiatives.
The company is also planning its entry into Greece with Rosewood Blue Palace and Rosewood Residences Crete, a coastal development intended to integrate with the island’s landscape and cultural heritage. In Italy, Rosewood Rome is under development in a group of early-20th-century buildings on Via Veneto, formerly occupied by Banca Nazionale del Lavoro.
Additional planned developments include Rosewood Calistoga and Rosewood Residences Calistoga in California’s Napa Valley; Rosewood Dubai and Rosewood Residences Dubai on the Peninsula Dubai waterfront; Rosewood Residences Turtle Creek in Dallas; and Rosewood Residences Lido Key on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Elsewhere in its portfolio, Rosewood has recently opened or announced properties in destinations including Doha, Amsterdam, Mexico’s Pacific coast, Japan’s Miyakojima, and Beverly Hills. The company said these projects reflect a continued emphasis on geographic diversification and long-term development across high-growth and established luxury markets.
Rosewood Hotel Group operates a collection of luxury hotels, resorts, and branded residences worldwide under the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and New World Hotels & Resorts brands.
